SLARP and PUBG

PUBG: Battlegrounds is in the SLARP catalog: the app finds the Steam version by the TslGame.exe process. You set the match region in the game itself. Matchmaking finds a server in that region, and SLARP is responsible for the road to that server.

What SLARP does

  • Routes PUBG through its own network and optimizes ping and jitter

  • Picks the route to the server: the node is chosen for you, or you choose a city

  • If the connection drops, it finds a fallback route

  • Everything else on your PC runs as usual

What SLARP does not do

  • Does not change the region or the server in the game — you pick those in the game itself

  • Does not raise FPS and does not fix stutter caused by load on your PC

  • Will not help when the game's own servers are down

  • Works only on Windows 10 and 11: SLARP does not run on a phone or a console

  • Does not route the mobile version of PUBG or Android emulators on a PC

PUBG servers

In the map service report for update 43.1 (9 September 2026), PUBG lays out the normal match rotations on PC by matchmaking region. The RU region there is its own, separate from Europe:2

  • AS — Asia
  • SEA — Southeast Asia
  • Kakao (a separate platform)
  • NA — North America
  • SA — South America
  • EU — Europe
  • RU — Russia

These are matchmaking regions, not data center cities. Where the RU region's servers physically stand is not said in the report, so we do not name a city.

PUBG's help describes how matchmaking accounts for the network: it tries to put players with similar ping into one match, and if a match takes too long to find, the game suggests switching region.3

If PUBG stutters

Stutter: your PC or the network

PUBG support names three sources of lag: heavy load on the PC, network drops and overloaded game servers. If FPS dips along with the stutter and the PC runs hot, graphics settings and cleaning dust out of the fans will help. SLARP carries the network side through its own network for the whole match; it will not fix an overheating PC or overloaded PUBG servers.4

Ping jumps on Wi-Fi

PUBG's connectivity guide says it plainly: a wireless link picks up interference more often, and ping and packet loss grow from it. Support's advice is to connect the PC with a cable and close programs that take up the line. You still need that with SLARP: it picks the route from your router to the server, and interference in your home is beyond its reach.5,4

How to test without SLARP

To test the connection, PUBG support suggests turning off third-party network programs for a while. With SLARP you do not need to uninstall anything: set PUBG to “Don't accelerate (direct)”, play a match and compare. If the stutter is the same without SLARP, the road to the server is not the cause.5

Anti-cheat and SLARP

On the PUBG: Battlegrounds Steam page the publisher lists a kernel-mode anti-cheat — KSS (Krafton Security Services).1

Game mode does not inject into the game and does not install an intercept driver on its traffic. We cannot vouch for publishers and their anti-cheat: they decide for themselves what counts as a violation.

If the game complains, take it off acceleration (“Don't accelerate (direct)” in the game's menu) and press “Report a problem”.

How to start

SLARP finds the installed game on its own

Questions about PUBG

Does PUBG have servers for Russia?

The PC version has its own RU matchmaking region: that is how PUBG's map service report for update 43.1 names it. The report does not say which city its servers are in. SLARP does not change the region: whichever is chosen in the game, that is the server it carries traffic to.

Does PUBG match by ping?

According to PUBG's help, matchmaking has ping restrictions: it tries to put players with similar ping into one match. On a long search the game may suggest another region. Whether to accept is up to you, but a distant region usually means a higher ping.

Does SLARP work with the mobile version of PUBG?

No. The mobile version is a separate game for phones, and SLARP is an app for Windows 10 and 11. SLARP does not route its traffic through an Android emulator on a PC either.

What to check if PUBG is losing packets?

Start at home: connect the PC with a cable instead of Wi-Fi and close downloads that take up the line — that is PUBG support's advice. If loss remains on a cable, turn on SLARP: it watches for loss the whole match and looks for a fallback route if the connection drops.

Do I need a card for the trial?

No. The 72 hours are given once per account, with no payment and no card.
