SLARP and CS2
Counter-Strike 2, CS2 for short, is in the SLARP catalog as a Steam game: the app recognizes it by the cs2.exe process. Matchmaking, Premier and FACEIT matches all run in that process.
What SLARP does
Routes CS2 through its own network and optimizes ping and jitter
Picks the route to the server: the node is chosen for you, or you choose a city
If the connection drops, it finds a fallback route
Everything else on your PC runs as usual
What SLARP does not do
Does not change the region or the server in the game — you pick those in the game itself
Does not raise FPS and does not fix stutter caused by load on your PC
Will not help when the game's own servers are down
Works only on Windows 10 and 11: SLARP does not run on a phone or a console
Does not pick the FACEIT server: you mark it in the FACEIT lobby
CS2 servers
Valve publishes the open configuration of its relay network (Steam Datagram Relay) for CS2. As of 6 October 2026 it lists no relay sites in Russia. The nearest ones to its European part:3
- Stockholm (two sites)
- Warsaw
- Vienna
- Frankfurt
- Amsterdam
These are sites of Valve's network, not a list of data centers with CS2 servers. The game connects to community servers over direct UDP, not through this network.4
FACEIT has its own server pool. In Europe it includes France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Moscow, Kazakhstan, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg (not in every queue) and Vladivostok; Germany, France, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands are marked by default. Moscow is open only to players from Russia, you mark it in the lobby yourself, and at least four servers must be marked.5
How to see your ping in CS2
In CS2, ping and network state are shown by telemetry — a small panel over the game.6
- Open the game settings, the telemetry section: Settings → Game → Telemetry
- For each line, choose when to show it: never, always or only under poor conditions, with a threshold you set yourself.
- Ping is the round trip to the server. Network problems shows two numbers with arrows: how often ticks are lost when sending and when receiving.
- Raw loss and jitter are shown by the Network jitter / misdelivery graph or by the numeric readout in the same telemetry.
- In the console, jitter data is in the output of the command net_connections_status4
Menu items are named as in the source, in English: localized versions of the game translate them.
If CS2 stutters
Ping looks fine, but the match stutters
Stutter at a normal ping usually comes from loss and jitter. If the Network problems numbers rise at the moment of a stutter, the network is at fault; if frame time rises while the network is clean, the load is on your PC. SLARP works on the network side for the whole match and optimizes ping and jitter; it does not raise FPS.6
Matchmaking puts you on distant servers
Per Valve's help, at a very high ping reduce the Max Acceptable Matchmaking Ping setting (Settings → Game): it narrows the set of data centers matchmaking can use. The game picks the match server; SLARP does not change it.6
Loss is rare but noticeable
The Buffering to smooth over packet loss / jitter setting hides many network hiccups but, as Valve warns, adds latency. It is a trade-off between smoothness and responsiveness; decide by the telemetry numbers.6

Anti-cheat and SLARP
CS2 runs Valve's anti-cheat, VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat), as stated on the game's Steam page. FACEIT has its own anti-cheat: an app, a kernel-mode driver that loads with Windows, and a server side. FACEIT runs only on Windows 10 and 11 and requires Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 — a FACEIT requirement, not SLARP's.1,2
Game mode does not inject into the game and does not install an intercept driver on its traffic. We cannot vouch for publishers and their anti-cheat: they decide for themselves what counts as a violation.
If the game complains, take it off acceleration (“Don't accelerate (direct)” in the game's menu) and press “Report a problem”.

Questions about CS2
What about FACEIT matches?
FACEIT matches run in the same cs2.exe that SLARP recognizes the game by. You mark the server in the FACEIT lobby; SLARP does not change it. If FACEIT complains about the connection or anti-cheat, set CS2 to “Don't accelerate (direct)” and press “Report a problem”.
Does CS2 have servers in Russia?
Valve's open network configuration as of 6 October 2026 lists no relay sites in Russia; the nearest to its European part are Stockholm, Warsaw, Vienna and Frankfurt. FACEIT has a Moscow server, open only to players from Russia, which you mark in the lobby yourself.
Why does the game stutter when my ping is normal?
Most often because of loss and jitter. Turn on Network problems in telemetry: if the numbers rise with the stutter, the cause is the network. If the network is clean and the stutter stays, look at frame time: that is load on your PC, where SLARP does not help.
Can I choose a server in CS2?
In matchmaking the game picks the server; the Max Acceptable Matchmaking Ping setting narrows the choice. On FACEIT you mark servers in the lobby, at least four. SLARP does not choose a server: it carries traffic to the one the game or FACEIT chose.
Do I need a card for the trial?
No. The 72 hours are given once per account, with no payment and no card.
