SLARP and Crossout

Crossout is in the SLARP catalog as a Steam game: the app recognizes it by the Crossout.exe process. The battle region is chosen in the game itself and SLARP does not change it: it carries battle traffic to the servers of the region set in Crossout's settings.

What SLARP does

  • Routes Crossout through its own network and optimizes ping and jitter

  • Picks the route to the server: the node is chosen for you, or you choose a city

  • If the connection drops, it finds a fallback route

  • Everything else on your PC runs as usual

What SLARP does not do

  • Does not change the region or the server in the game — you pick those in the game itself

  • Does not raise FPS and does not fix stutter caused by load on your PC

  • Will not help when the game's own servers are down

  • Works only on Windows 10 and 11: SLARP does not run on a phone or a console

  • Does not interfere with automatic region selection: Crossout computes that itself

Crossout servers

The battle region in Crossout is chosen in the game. Since the “New Horizon” update (September 2026) the region button sits on the world map screen under the Battle button: you can keep automatic selection or set a region by hand, and next to each region the game shows the ping and packet loss to it.2

The developers do not name the cities where the region servers stand in their update notes, so neither do we.

In April 2026 matchmaking in modes with leaderboards briefly stopped respecting the chosen region: the “Light step” update moved those battles to automatic mode, and the next day the developers announced they were turning the change off, since ping in ranked battles had risen both for players who changed their geolocation and for their teammates from other regions.3,4

How to see your ping in Crossout

Crossout shows ping and packet loss right in the region selection window, separately for each region.2

  1. On the world map screen find the region button under the battle button: World map → Battle → Region2
  2. In the selection window each region lists the ping and packet loss to it. Compare them and decide: keep automatic selection or set a region by hand.2
  3. If there is loss in every region at once, the cause is closer to you: Wi-Fi, background downloads or your ISP's route.

Menu items are named as in the source, in English: localized versions of the game translate them.

If Crossout stutters

Ping is high in one region only

Open the region selection window and compare ping and loss across regions. If only one is bad and the rest are steady, the problem is the route to that one: SLARP carries battle traffic through its own network and optimizes ping and jitter on that route. If the region is geographically far, it will not cancel the distance.2

Ranked battles go to distant servers

In April 2026 the developers tried matching servers in leaderboard modes without regard to the chosen region and quickly turned it off because ping rose. If something similar happens again, it is the game's side: Crossout picks the battle server, and SLARP does not change it.4

Packet loss in every region

When there is loss to every region, the cause is usually at home or at your ISP. Compare a cable with Wi-Fi, stop downloads and streams on the same line. If the loss disappears on a cable, it is your home network, and SLARP will not fix it; if it stays on a cable, it is your ISP's route, which is what SLARP works on.

Anti-cheat and SLARP

Crossout runs BattlEye: it was introduced in the “Frontier” update of 17 July 2025, and the game's Steam page lists it as a kernel-level anti-cheat that has to be removed separately after uninstalling the game.5,1

Game mode does not inject into the game and does not install an intercept driver on its traffic. We cannot vouch for publishers and their anti-cheat: they decide for themselves what counts as a violation.

If the game complains, take it off acceleration (“Don't accelerate (direct)” in the game's menu) and press “Report a problem”.

How to start

  1. Download and install

    Windows 10 and 11

  2. Open SLARP and sign in

No account yet — press “Start: 72 hours free”. Email or Telegram, no card needed

  3. Pick Crossout and connect

SLARP finds the installed game on its own

Questions about Crossout

Where do I see ping in Crossout?

In the region selection window: the button is on the world map screen under the Battle button. Next to each region the game shows the ping and packet loss to it.

Which region should I pick in Crossout?

Compare ping and loss in the region selection window and either keep automatic selection or set the region with steady numbers. SLARP does not pick the region: it carries traffic to the servers of the region set in the game.

Why is ping higher in ranked than in regular battles?

In April 2026 matchmaking in leaderboard modes briefly stopped respecting the chosen region, and the developers turned the change off after complaints about ping. If the difference recurs, the cause is on the game's side: Crossout picks the battle server.

Does SLARP change the region in Crossout?

No. You pick the region in the game or keep automatic selection, and SLARP carries battle traffic to that region's servers and watches ping, jitter and loss.

Do I need a card for the trial?

No. The 72 hours are given once per account, with no payment and no card.
