SLARP and Rocket League
Rocket League is in the SLARP catalog as a Steam game: the app recognizes it by the RocketLeague.exe process, not by the store it was bought in. The search region stays up to you: you pick it in the game.
What SLARP does
Routes Rocket League through its own network and optimizes ping and jitter
Picks the route to the server: the node is chosen for you, or you choose a city
If the connection drops, it finds a fallback route
Everything else on your PC runs as usual
What SLARP does not do
Does not change the region or the server in the game — you pick those in the game itself
Does not raise FPS and does not fix stutter caused by load on your PC
Will not help when the game's own servers are down — check the status2
Works only on Windows 10 and 11: SLARP does not run on a phone or a console
Rocket League servers
The search region in Rocket League is chosen in the game: in the Play menu open the Casual or Competitive card and press Regions. The list also has a Recommended option, where the game picks the region.3,4
SLARP does not change the region: whichever region is chosen in the game, it carries traffic to that region's servers.
According to the Rocket League wiki, the game has twelve regions. The wiki ties Europe (EU) to servers in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Sweden, Middle East (ME) to Bahrain, and Asia East (JPN) to Japan, and notes that the locations are approximate: by country or state.5
How to see your ping in Rocket League
The Steam version of Rocket League has performance and network graphs, as the 2018 patch notes describe them: the network graphs show packets, latency and other connection data.6
- Open the game settings, the interface tab: Options → Interface
- Choose a network graph: Network Summary, Network Graph (short) or Network Graph (long). The Performance graphs next to them show FPS and frame time.
- The graphs can also be shown and hidden from the keyboard: F10
- The game also has connection quality indicators: on a connection problem a “!” appears next to the ping on the scoreboard.7
The steps follow the 2018 patch notes: in the current version the item names and their place in the menu may differ.
Menu items are named as in the source, in English: localized versions of the game translate them.
If Rocket League stutters
A “!” next to the ping on the scoreboard
That is how Rocket League reports a connection problem. There are four indicators: Server Health (trouble on the server itself), Packet Loss, Latency Variance (ping jumping around) and High Latency. Loss, jumps and high ping on the route to the server are SLARP's part: it optimizes that route for the whole match and looks for a fallback if the connection drops. If Server Health is lit, the game's server is the problem, and SLARP will not help.7
Ping is high in every match
First check the search region. If a distant region is chosen manually, matches run on distant servers. Set Recommended or pick a closer region and compare. SLARP picks the route to the server through its own network; it does not change the distance or the region.3,4
The ball and cars twitch while the ping is steady
Turn on the network graph and the performance graph side by side. If the network is steady but frame time jumps, the cause is load on your PC, and SLARP does not raise FPS. If loss rises at the moments of twitching and there is less of it on a cable, the cause is your home network.6

Anti-cheat and SLARP
Rocket League's anti-cheat is Easy Anti-Cheat: its window at game launch is mentioned in Psyonix's v2.72 patch notes of 4 August 2026. The game's Steam page lists no anti-cheat.1
Game mode does not inject into the game and does not install an intercept driver on its traffic. We cannot vouch for publishers and their anti-cheat: they decide for themselves what counts as a violation.
If the game complains, take it off acceleration (“Don't accelerate (direct)” in the game's menu) and press “Report a problem”.

Questions about Rocket League
Why is my ping high in Rocket League?
Start with three checks: the search region (Play → Regions), Wi-Fi and background downloads. Play on a cable and stop downloads. SLARP picks the route to the server through its own network; it does not change the region, Wi-Fi or the load on your PC.
What does the “!” next to the ping mean?
It is a connection problem indicator. Rocket League distinguishes four: server trouble (Server Health), packet loss (Packet Loss), ping spikes (Latency Variance) and high ping (High Latency). SLARP will not help with server trouble.
What if my Rocket League is from the Epic Games Store?
SLARP tells games apart by process name, not by store. Rocket League is listed with the RocketLeague.exe process: if your version's process has the same name, the app recognizes it. If the game was not found on its own, add it manually.
Does SLARP change the region in Rocket League?
No. You pick the region in the game or leave Recommended, and SLARP carries the match traffic to that region's servers.
Do I need a card for the trial?
No. The 72 hours are given once per account, with no payment and no card.
